I believe in destiny. More importantly, I believe that each of us absolutely CREATES our own destiny. I had been studying about the Law of Attraction for several years before I met my fiance. I had read tons of literature about how our thoughts create our reality and that whatever you focus your thoughts most intently upon, you shall summon into your physical reality. Well, I wanted a husband. More importantly, I wanted to marry my soulmate. I wanted this more than anything. I knew the exact type of man that I wanted, so I began the process of manifesting him into reality. Yes, that’s right! I CREATED my soulmate by using visualization techniques and affirmations. I wrote down all the qualities that I wanted and I read them out loud like a mantra several times a day. I also created “visions” of my soulmate in my mind’s eye and meditated upon this vision every day for about 3 months. The day that I finally met him, I sat down at a bookstore and he was sitting right next to me. I was reading a book about Bob Dylan. Mark (my now fiance) was reading the same exact book and was on the same exact page. We looked at each other and it was love at first sight. Mark was and is the EXACT replica of the vision I held in my mind’s eye. He has the exact personality traits as well. He proposed to me 2 months later. The interesting thing about my story is that after Mark and I met, he had revealed that he was doing all the same things as I was, in order to “manifest” his future wife! Mark and I are now planning our beautiful life together.
