I love the idea of this project and this type of documentary. I personally believe that things happen for a reason. When looking back at my own recent experiences, some choices I made were seemingly strange and random - yet as a result could possibly have saved my life. For example, I was living in Thailand with my son and for whatever reason - maybe I was sick of being there, wanted an adventure, a new home, etc. I moved to Malta. I didn't care for living there and after only 3 or 4 months, moved back to my home state of Wisconsin. When others asked why I moved to Malta or returned to the states - it's hard to remember what in the world I was thinking at that time. But very shortly after returning to Wisconsin, I had a doctor's appt, very normal yearly exam. At that appt. I found out I had CIN III preinvasive cervical cancer. I know now that if those events didn't happen as they did, I'd have an advanced stage cancer or worse at this point. I had to have a surgery to remove those cells and was fine. Three years later, it is back again but not as severe. I just believe things happen for a reason and it may be hard to see it while enduring it, but afterwards it is neat to come to that realization and understanding. I wouldn't change one second of my life because I may not be where I am at now. :)

A few days ago we were having an issue with some of the voting displays. But that particular story seems to be fine. Try refreshing the page because you might be looking at a cached version? Also there is a safety measure implemented to prevent repeat voting from the same computer or IP. Some folks have noticed that they can't vote for the same story multiple times. Of course, that's a good thing! But you can vote other stories if you like them. Thanks for voting!

Lee, I've tried voting twice for Angels in Spats (Career) and it seems to accept my vote but when I look back at it to be sure...it says 0 votes cast. Is something not working?

Thanks for posting your story - it's a great one. As it happens, I've already interviewed SQuire for the movie. He told some great stories and I'm looking forward to getting into the editing room to have a look!
